Becoming a Club Member

1. Club Constitution and Rules

 The club operates under an agree constitution and everyone shooting in line the club rules

2. Beginners

We offer a number of courses a year, at the start of the outdoor and indoor seasons, but can direct you to other ways to get started if these don't fit in with your plans.    

3. Children (Juniors)

"Juniors" means anyone under the age of 18. Juniors from the age of 7 are welcome if there parent is also a member and archer.   Juniors over 12 are welcome to join the full club as long as they have completed a recognised beginners course. All juniors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. If the parent is a non-archer and non-club member then juniors are limited to club nights unless by prior arrangements with other club members (as a Deben archer must be present when a junior is shooting)

If a qualified junior supervisor is present at a club session then Juniors over 14 may shoot without parental supervision, but this cannot be expected upon on a weekly basis as it depends on coaches being available.  

4. New Members

Membership is available once you have attended a beginners course or already know the basics. Most members have their own equipment but you can use the club equipment until you decide to buy your own. We also welcome intermediate and advanced archers. Becoming a member entitles you to shoot at any of the club days both during Summer and Winter.  

5. Fees

Fees are reviewed yearly at the Club's A.G.M.

The 2022/23 fees are Detail on the Membership Form

In Summary it is £20 Joining Fee for New Adult Members then £12.50 Per Month, Juniors have no Joining Fee and pay £12.50 Per Month.

6. Visitors Policy  

Existing GNAS members from other clubs are welcome and we charge a £4 per session target fee. Please contact us first and then bring your GNAS membership card with you so we can sign you in. The Club will cap the target fee at £12 per month for regular visitors from other clubs.
