Beginners Course

 

Courses 2023/24 Season

Our Next Beginners course is taking place In Summer 2024 at  our Outdoor Venue (Bob's Meadow).

It is a 2 Session Course taking place over 2 Saturday Sessions, It is a requirement to all sessions of the course.

The Dates for the Course are :-

• Saturday 8th June 2024 - 10am - 3pm - Bob's Meadow - Taught Session
• Saturday 15th June 2024 - 10am - 3pm - Bob's Meadow - Taught Session
• Sunday 16th June 2024 - 10am - 12noon - Bob's Meadow - Practise with Club

Each of the taught sessions will be lead by an ArcheryGB Coach and will include a half hour lunch break, please bring lunch, drinks etc as well as a camping chair.

The club will provide all the equipment required to learn to shoot, safety equipment and insurance for the inclusive price of:-

• £70 per Older Junior (11-17)

• £80 per Adult (18+)

Places are limited, priority will be given to people wishing to undertake the course in order to join Deben Archery Club

After completion of the course we’re ready to welcome you into the club and to help you achieve your sporting ambitions in a fully supportive environment.

Other Ways to Learn

Anyone who has completed a beginners course elsewhere is welcome to join Deben subject to our normal membership rules and an introduction/review with one of our coaches.  

Anyone who has Archery Experince can join subject again to an introduction/review with one of our coaches.  

The introduction/Reviews are run under the ArcheryGB Range Returner Scheme and means you may be asked to undertake a series of subequent re-introduction sessions (there will be a charge for these sessions).
