Beginners Course
Courses 2025/26 Season
Our Next Beginners course is taking place In Winter 2025 at our Indoor Venue (Tunstall Village Hall).
It is a 6 Session Course, It is a requirement to attend all taught sessions of the course.
The Dates for the Course are :-
- Sunday 2nd November 2025 - 13pm - 15:30pm - Tunstall Village Hall - Taught Session
- Sunday 9th November 2025 - 13pm - 15:30pm - Tunstall Village Hall - Taught Session
- Sunday 16th November 2025 - 13pm - 15:30pm - Tunstall Village Hall - Taught Session
- Sunday 23rd November 2025 - 13pm - 15:30pm - Tunstall Village Hall - Taught Session
- Sunday 30th November 2025 - 10am - 12noon - Tunstall Village Hall - Practise with Club
- Sunday 7th December 2025 - 10am - 12noon - Tunstall Village Hall - Practise with Club
Each of the taught sessions will be lead by an ArcheryGB Coach alongside senior archers.
The club will provide all the equipment required to learn to shoot, safety equipment and insurance for the inclusive price of:-

£120 for each Young Junior (7-11) + Parent (learn together, as Shooting Parent is required whenever they shoot at the club) [£120 Fee Covers Both Learning]

£70 per Older Junior (11-17) [Ask about discount for Parent to learn alongside Older Junior]

£80 per Adult (18+)
Places are limited, priority will be given to people wishing to undertake the course in order to join Deben Archery Club
After completion of the course we’re ready to welcome you into the club and to help you achieve your sporting ambitions in a fully supportive environment.

Other Ways to Learn
Anyone who has completed a beginners course elsewhere (AGB Course / 3 Hours of 1-2-1 Commercial training or equivalent) is welcome to join Deben subject to our normal membership rules and an introduction/review with one of our coaches.
Anyone who has Archery Experince (Previous Club Membership) can join subject again to an introduction/review with one of our coaches.
The introduction/Reviews are run under the ArcheryGB Range Returner Scheme and means you may be asked to undertake a series of subequent re-introduction sessions (there will be a charge for these sessions).
