Welcome to the Deben Archery
Club web site, from these pages you will be able to find out
information about us. The club currently has archers
shooting Recurve, Compound and Long Bows. Due to the nature of our shooting
venue we don't currently cater for Flight or Crossbow shooting. Presently the club is very lucky
to have three senior members of the Great Britain Archery Team, in addition
we have a fourth member of the GB Junior Team to whom we have granted
honorary membership. At present the club is not able to offer beginners courses due
to a lack of coaching staff. As a result we are unable to accept beginners at
this time, however, if you are interested in learning to shoot then
we recommend Northgate Sports Centre, see here for
details. Although we don't offer places to beginners we welcome archers who have attended a
beginner course or already know the basics.
If you are new or returning to archery the club has
a full set of equipment available for members to borrow. We're a friendly bunch and all
club members are willing to provide you with information on the latest
equipment and advice if you do decide to take this sport seriously. If you'd like to come along for a
chat or to shoot then please contact us so we can
arrange to meet you and, if you'd like to shoot, that there is space on the
shooting line. |
